Program Boundaries and Conventions
The following is a list of CIP RC/PT Girder boundaries and conventions:
- Specify vertical columns only.
- Vertical load analysis only.
- No Concentrated moment load input.
- Uses a modified Plane Frame method for analysis.
- Assumes the full width of the top and bottom slabs effective for compressive forces.
- Will perform an IRC design for reinforced concrete bridges including performing a serviceability check.
- Does not generate seismic analysis/responses.
- Assumes the pier substructure to be centered and to coincide with the horizontal center of the box girder and/or slab superstructure.
- Assumes the same web thickness for all interior girders/webs. Additionally, CIP RC/PT Girder does not allow non-uniform interior girder spacings.
- Does not include additional torsional effects in the box girder cross section due to eccentric live loads. User may specify a factor to account for these effects for box bridges.
- CIP RC/PT Girder assumes all longitudinal rebar to be fully developed.
